Hannah, Class of 2020

I've known 2020 graduating senior, Hannah since she was pretty little so being able to photograph her senior portraits was such an amazing full-circle experience. This is such a transitory and exciting time in life and I'm so grateful to be able to capture those moments so they can be remembered forever.

Hannah picked out some really great options for her wardrobe. I loved all of her outfit choices and feel that they gave us a lot of variety by the end. For her hair, Hannah wanted soft and bouncy curls. I used a wand to wave her hair in 1" sections and we finished it off with some texturizing spray and a good tousle. She wanted her makeup to be naturally flawless so we defined her brows, focused on perfecting the skin, and used some individual lashes to enhance her eyes without being too dramatic.

The session you see here was actually our second attempt at senior photos. A few days prior, we had done full hair, makeup, wardrobe, and were on our way to the location when a huge storm came out of nowhere! We lasted about five minutes in the rain before we cut our losses and decided it was a great rehearsal 😂

The weather on the day of our actual session was a perfect example of Seattle summer day. The sun was out, the temperature was comfortable, and there was just the slightest breeze coming off the water. We arrived at our location about two hours before sunset, leaving us plenty of time to take advantage of the multi-faceted location.

When we reached the end of our session, we decided to grab a bowl of chowder at Ivars. It was the perfect way to end the day and a nice chance to catch up with Hannah and all her life plans. She has always been kind, hard-working, and talented and I can't wait to see all the exciting places life will take her!
