Easy breezy maternity session with the most beautiful mama to be! Learn more about this session below:

I don’t do maternity photos often, but when your bestie has her first bun in the oven it’s 100% necessary! I’ve known Lauren since middle school (maybe elementary school…?) and I’ve been privileged enough to do her makeup and hair for school dances, sorority events, her wedding, and now her maternity photos. This time, she even let me talk her into some glamorous fake lashes to compliment her gorgeous wavy hair and glowing skin. The pregnancy glow was SO real and it made my heart swell to see my friend so happy.

Our photo session was at the one and only Discovery Park, a stunning park hidden in Seattle. The sun was shining, the wildflowers were in bloom, the salty air had a slight breeze, and the park was relatively empty. We couldn’t have asked for a better location and I love how it lent to the overall vibe of our session. The right location can really make or break it!

Lauren brought her husband Will along on the adventure so we could capture some images of both of them. Watching them enjoy some moments of peace before such an incredibly life changing event was beautiful. Their love for each other is always so apparent and our photo session was no exception. We talked about their hopes, dreams, fears, and things that they’re most looking forward to do with their new son. They’re both going to be such loving parents and I’m so excited for them!

Little Paul came into the world on the 1st day of September, and is already so very loved!

This session was shot on a Canon R5 using a Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS II lens using natural light and a reflector when needed for fill. All images were processed in Adobe Lightroom and retouched in Adobe Photoshop using a Wacom tablet.
