I LOVE working with brands! It’s immensely important to have high quality visual content to promote your business and even more important to have content that fits with it. When working with brands, I always start with a consultation meeting to discuss things like their business goals, their target market, how the imagery will be used, and any other information we might need to produce the best results. After that, we plan the session in detail and create a set of imagery the brand can use to bring their marketing presence to the next level.
My most recent Commercial Session was with a familiar face. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jenn before but this particular shoot was focused on her business, Maddie Girl Organics. Initially creating organic dogfood for the brand’s namesake Frenchie, Maddie Girl Organics now specializes in shampoos, conditioners, and other skincare products formulated just for dogs.
Jenn was kind enough to give me a few samples to try on my puppy at home (a German Shepard named Atlas) and I have to say that the Stinky Dog spray is my favorite. It’s a perfect spray to refresh and deodorize your pup in between baths and it smells so good!
The best part of this session was obviously getting to work with Evie, Jenn’s cute little Frenchie, but working with a furry best friend can definitely be challenging. Luckily Jenn’s wonderfully supportive husband was armed and ready with a bag of Evie’s favorite treats to make sure we could get the shots we needed. Evie had a full belly by the end of the day and we definitely had some pretty good outtakes (see below!).
This session was shot on a Canon R5 using Canon 70-200mm f2.8 IS II and 50mm f1.4 lenses using natural light and a reflector when needed for fill. All images were processed in Adobe Lightroom and retouched in Adobe Photoshop using a Wacom tablet.
